CLICK HERE TO VIEW VIDEO A Grand Rapids landmark has been restored to glory, ready to be the home field of GRPS scholars for another century.“From the field to the track to the lights, this is the type of complex that our scholar-athletes deserve to compete in,” said Board of Education Trustee Sara Melton during the ribbon cutting ceremony for the renovated Houseman Field. “To our community: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. None of this would have been possible without your support.”The $5.1 million renovation was funded by the Reimagine GRPS with Us! bond, which was passed overwhelmingly by voters in 2023.“I am thrilled to share that our renovation of historic Houseman Field has finished on-time and within budget,” said Executive Director of Facilities and Operations Alex Smart.Ottawa Hills and Union will meet in the inaugural matches on the new pitch Thursday, Sept. 18. Ottawa Hills Athletic Department uses FinalForms, a data management system for all athletic forms. FinalForms saves student data from sport-to-sport and year-to-year, eliminating paperwork. Parents need to register their student(s) for an account to get started. After that, you will need to log in to update, verify and sign forms once per year, or as often as your information changes.Once the account is created, you will also get communication on all sports information (tryouts, workouts, summer conditioning, etc.):Parents create an account on FinalFormsIf you have an account, be sure to update all information neededSchedule a physical for your student (must be dated after 4/15/25)Upload the physical to their FinalForms AccountStudent-athlete information must be uploaded into FinalForms to be able to participate in ports. OHHS BOYS SWIM & DIVE UPDATES
Boys Varsity Swimming3.2.26: Congratulations to the OHHS Boys Swim and Dive team on an outstanding effort at the OK Rainbow East Conference Championships this weekend. The team placed 4th in the meet and 3rd in the Conference Standings. The team had 87% personal best times on Friday at Prelims and another 60% personal best times on Saturday at Finals. Congratulations to the 500 Champion for the 3rd year in a row, Wyatt Jacques. Individual event medalists were Wyatt Jacques, Quintin Lema, Henri Kilpatrick, Ewan Jacques, Izaiah Battle, Hudson Chambers, and Henry Taylor. Relay medalists were Wyatt Jacques, Henri Kilpatrick, Hudson Chambers and Ewan Jacques. That relay also qualified for the MHSAA D2 State Meet, along with Wyatt Jacques in 2 events and Ewan Jacques in 2 events. Izaiah Battle also qualified for Diving Regionals. Diving regionals will be held at Northview on Thursday 3/5, and the State Meet will be held at Eastern Michigan University on Friday 3/13. Good luck guys! And

CoEd Varsity Bowling2/23/26: Daniel Gerber is headed to the MHSAA State Bowling Championship after a standout performance at Regionals, where he remained focused and consistent throughout the day. Bowling six games in the qualifying block, Daniel posted scores of 223, 220, 213, 204, 203, and 226 for a strong 1289 series, holding a 214 average.Against a very competitive field of bowlers, Daniel finished 7th overall, securing his spot at states and demonstrating poise, skill, and determination from start to finish.Great bowling, Daniel — congratulations and good luck at states! 2/13/26: The Ottawa Hills Boys Bowling Team put together an outstanding season, finishing 2nd in the OK White Conference with an impressive 12–1-1 record. They carried that momentum into the post-season, earning a 2nd place finish at the conference tournament with a strong overall performance.
