2/23/26:  Daniel Gerber is headed to the MHSAA State Bowling Championship after a standout performance at Regionals, where he remained focused and consistent throughout the day. Bowling six games in the qualifying block, Daniel posted scores of 223, 220, 213, 204, 203, and 226 for a strong 1289 series, holding a 214 average.

Against a very competitive field of bowlers, Daniel finished 7th overall, securing his spot at states and demonstrating poise, skill, and determination from start to finish.

Great bowling, Daniel — congratulations and good luck at states!

 

2/13/26:  The Ottawa Hills Boys Bowling Team put together an outstanding season, finishing 2nd in the OK White Conference with an impressive 12–1-1 record. They carried that momentum into the post-season, earning a 2nd place finish at the conference tournament with a strong overall performance. Daniel Gerber and Coreyon Malone earned All-Conference honors, while James Coleman was recognized with All-Conference Honorable Mention. At the OK White Conference tournament this past week, Coreyon Malone and James Coleman dominated the lanes, finishing #1 and #2 with 200+ averages on the day. Beyond the scores, this group shared endless fun and built a true love for the game. Now, they’re focused on preparing for Regionals.  

The Ottawa Hills High School Girls Bowling Team delivered an impressive 2025-2026 season, finishing in the top half of the OK White Conference and proving their resilience every step of the way. Leading the charge, Bianca Pharms earned All-Conference honors and rolled her way to the top spot at the OK White Conference Tournament, showcasing consistency and composure under pressure. More importantly, this team grew stronger together—battling through challenging moments and celebrating every success as one unit. Their chemistry and determination have defined this season. Now, with the Regional Tournament ahead, the Bengals are focused, motivated, and ready to put in the hard work to keep their postseason journey rolling.  

 

1/29/20:  The Ottawa Hills High School boys bowling team faced its first loss of the season on Monday against Grand Rapids Christian, but showed resilience and growth by taking a strong win Wednesday against East Grand Rapids. With confidence building and team cohesion strengthening, the boys are coming together at the right time as they prepare for tackling the last remaining weeks of the season with strong opponents, and both conference and regional tournaments.

The Ottawa Hills HIgh School girls bowling team opened the week with a tough loss to GR Christian, but showed determination by battling back for a win later in the week against East Grand Rapids. Their response highlighted their resilience and growing belief in one another. As the season's back half presents tough competition, the girls are building confidence and momentum at the right time while preparing for the challenges of conference and regional tournaments

 

1/16/26:  In a showdown of two top-rated programs, the Ottawa Hills High School boys bowling team rose to the challenge against Spring Lake High School, matching a highly competitive opponent frame for frame. Strong teamwork, focus, and clutch shots under pressure led to an impressive tie that proved Ottawa Hills belongs among the best in the OK White Conference.

 

Despite falling short against a tough conference opponent in Spring Lake High School, the Ottawa Hills High School girls bowling team competed with energy and enthusiasm from start to finish. Their positive attitudes, constant encouragement, and determination in every frame showed resilience, teamwork, and pride, proving that effort and spirit matter just as much as the final score.  

 

1/9/26:  The Ottawa Hills High School boys bowling team delivered an exciting week, earning two key conference wins to remain on top of the standings. Against East Grand Rapids, the team anchored consistent scoring and smart adjustments, led by Daniel Gerber’s steady 168 average. Confidence carried into the second win against Forest Hills Northern, where the lineup peaked at the right time. Daniel Gerber elevated his play, and Coreyon Malone matched the momentum, as both rolled impressive 190 averages. Beyond the scores, the team built excitement and belief heading into the next stretch of competition ahead.

 

The Ottawa Hills High School girls bowling team found its rhythm this week as all the pieces finally came together. After weeks of steady improvement, the team delivered two important conference wins against East Grand Rapids and Forest Hills Northern that reflected their growth and focus. The girls’ hard work and determination are shining through, building confidence and momentum. With energy high and goals clear, the team, consisting of Biance Pharms, Breyana Lackey, Diamond King, Shaniah Harris, Amijah Otey and Aryanna Price, is proving they can compete, support each other, and finish strong when it matters. 

 

1/5/26:  The Ottawa Hills boys bowling team earned an impressive victory against GR Christian just before the holiday break. After dropping both Baker games early, the team showed resilience and focus, turning the match around with outstanding individual performances. Daniel Gerber led the charge with back-to-back high games of 211 and 208, setting the tone for the comeback. Coreyone Malone added strong support, rolling a 204 and following with a solid 179. Larobert Davis contributed key scores of 153 and a strong 175. Their combined effort, determination, and teamwork helped overcome the early setback and secure a well-deserved win.

The Ottawa Hills girls bowling team faced tough competition in a head-to-head matchup against GR Christian and although they came up short on the scoreboard, they gained valuable experience along the way. Throughout the match, the team supported one another, had fun, and learned more about each other as teammates. Bianca Pharms led the group with consistent games of 115 and 123. Breyana Lackey showed improvement and perseverance, rolling 74 and finishing strong with 118. Despite the loss, the team left the lanes with determination, growing confidence, and strong team spirit to build on for future matches.
